Kelly and Tom at Backworth Hall
What do you need for a good wedding? A great venue? Lovely weather? Your friends and family around you? A stunning head turning dress? Kelly and Tom had all the right ingredients and cooked up an amazing day for all to celebrate this fantastic occasion. Kelly looked super stylish and has shoes to die for! (I often get shoe envy haha!). Backworth Hall once again were great and helped Kelly and Tom plan down to the last details and the food was delicious. Here is their story in pictures...

Kim and Chris and a Vintage Extravaganza!
I always knew Kim and Chris' wedding was going to be unique. When I first met them they told me about their plans but I never thought for a minute that it would all come to fruition...but then again with Kim in the driving seat I should have know better! Firstly the venue provided the perfect backdrop to the summer garden party theme. Danby Castle (now featuring lots of my phoots!) is on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, steeped in history and characture. The benefit of using this venue was the flexibility and freedon to create a wedding day that was as unique as it was exciting!
I really could write a post 6 foot long that would cover this wedding and all the details that Kim crammed into her beautiful wedding, so instead I am going to let Annabel from 'Love My Dress' tell the tale!

Eleanor, what a cutie!
A few months back, Eleanor's Aunty Kim and Uncle Chris approached me about a gift voucher for a photoshoot for their gorgeous niece. I was really looking foward to meeting Eleanor and her Mummy and Daddy of course as they were to play key roles in Kim and Chris's wedding (more on that later!)
Eleanor was very well behaved and as she wasn't walking yet she stayed in one place (always a plus for a baby shoot haha!)

Tony and Donna
Tony and Donna are now Mr and Mrs Hill after their fantastic June wedding and I was honoured to be their photographer. For me, this wedding was very 'close to home' as the grooms parents are my next door neighbours! The other reason I was very much looking forward to this wedding was that I was invited as a guest in the evening and the amazing (and hot!) Jason Isaacs was performing. Jason also entertained the guests at my wedding and I knew he was a absolute crowd pleaser. He definately was a hit with the ladies!

Jo and Rick at Horton Grange
There is something special about this venue....can't quite put my finger on it.....oh yes it's where I got married!!! So for that reason I was very much looking forward to returning and spending the day with Jo and Rick and their friends and family. Horton Grange is well known for it's stylish, intimate atmosphere and very high quality food and is very popular for weddings. The venue is exclusively yours for the day and the staff really work hard but blend into the background so you really feel like the venue is truly yours for 24 hours. Perfect!
The day started with Jo and her bridesmaids getting ready upstairs.I always love this part of the day as I get to photograph beautiful details but you can almost smell the anticipation!

This is Ethan their handsome little boy who was happy to pose for me.

There was quite a flurry of activity downstairs but I eventually got the boys together for a quick shot or two.

And before you knew it, in floated Jo and soon she was to be known as Mrs Nixon!

After a short time basking in the sunshine with guests I took Jo and Rick off for some relaxed shot of the newlyweds.

It wasn't only the Bride and Groom who enjoyed the day...the kids got in on the act too!

I love it when I am booked all day as I like to fill the gap between the reception and the evening party with some informal shots of the wedding party. They've usually had a few glasses of bubbly by then and far more relaxed and prepared to have some fun.

I'd like to wish Jo and Rick all the love and luck in the world as they start married life together. I've already delivered their album and they were over the moon with it!
