Kay and Andy Jesmond Dene House Wedding Photography

Fresh from Christmas and New Year and following a busy couple of weeks moving everything to our new studio space, we got the wedding cameras out again ready for the first wedding of 2015. Kay and Andy married on the 17th January and they chose the stunning Jesmond Dene House as the venue for their wedding day. We do love Jesmond Dene House; and that isn't just because it is only 10 minutes from our home in Newcastle. It was a brilliant sunny day, a little bit chilly, and we even had some frost on the ground when we arrived to start bridal prep.


We had previously met up with Kay and Andy last year for their pre wedding shoot at Saltwell Park in Gateshead. Together with the couples fantastic little boys, Covey and Olly, we spent an hour walking and talking weddings and taking photos. Both boys seemed to like the attention from the camera and went on to make very good page boys at the wedding. We get lots of recommendations from relatives, and Kay's wedding was the 2nd we have shot for her family. Back in December 2012, we photographed her sister, Stephanie, when she married Chris at Slaley Hall.

Marie from ND Makeup Artists was already working on Kay's hair and makeup when we arrived. Hannah from Wildflower, our new neighbour for Tiny Baby Studio in the Ouseburn provided the flowers and was busy dressing the Great Hall. Musical entertainment throughout the day was by the very talented Glen Roughead, who had the dance floor swinging in the evening.

Kay and Andy were happy to indulge us with plenty of time for photographs. Here are a few images from the relaxed day we had with a lovely family.
